How to Throw An Intimate Bachelorette Party in the times of COVID-19

It’s no doubt that the current state of world affairs right now is making us all shift how we plan, well, just about everything…including our fav events: BACHELORETTE PARTIES!

As things slowly start to re-open around the world, small gatherings will start to be appropriate — but going to your typical bachelorette hot spots (aka bars, nightclubs, and restaurants) will simply be one of the last places you’ll want to go (and that will even be open).

Just because those places are closed doesn’t mean you can’t have the EPIC bachelorette party you’ve always dreamed of…it will just mean that you’re going to have to shift some plans and get creative! We’re here to help out!

Choose an epic Airbnb

Since you’ll be spending less on nightlife and restaurants, you can splurge a bit more on having a space that’s enjoyable to be at! Of course, choose a place that’s more geared towards the bride-to-be’s interests. Amenities you can look into adding are hot tubs, pool, outdoor space, and enough space for lounging, games, and big dinners around the table.

Pick Activities You Can Do At Home

Most bachelorette party activities require leaving your home and being out and about…which just isn’t an option anymore! We’re feeling so grateful that Luv Collective offers in-home services that are less risky for everyone (and can even be done outside if you’re in a sunny location). Ideas include outdoor yoga on the lawn, bringing a psychic for an afternoon activity, or throwing a tarot party instead of hitting the clubs. Another idea is to have a chill evening of CBD cocktails with a relaxing sound bath for the bride that loves to chill out and hang with friends.

Theme it up!

Ok - we know themes can be a bit cheesy…but when you’re going to be gathered at home, you can play up the theme and make the whole place and weekend centered around this! For example, if you go with a tropical theme, you can try making fun Pina Coladas at the Airbnb. If you go with a jungle theme, you can get everyone to dress up in their most epic outfits and have outfit contents.

Talent Share

Okay - you’re probably reading this and like “whaaat, are we in kindergarten?!” — but hear us out! Most likely, each of your friends has their own special talents. If you’re the bride or MOH, task each attendee with an offering/class for the group (very Burning Man-esque). For example, if your bridesmaid can do killer makeup, let her lead a 30-min makeup class! If your other friend knows how to twerk, let her teach the rest of the group! This is also an opportunity to get everyone to contribute in their own special way!

Wine & Dine

If going to the hottest new restaurant isn’t an option…bring it to your house! You can hire a local private chef to come over and create an entire dinner experience around your theme or the bride's favorite type of food! You could glam it up by making cocktails (and name one after the bride, of course), or bring out your culinary side yourself and have the group do the cooking!
