Itinerary Breakdown: Seattle Summer Bachelorette

It’s hard to beat a Seattle summer - which is exactly why this group of Seattle locals did a summer staycation for Sara’s bachelorette weekend in the city! Getting to be a tourist and fall in love with our city during the best time of year, and reap the benefits of a quintessential PNW summer weekend. You don’t always have to travel far to make a weekend feel incredibly special.

The bride-to-be, Sara, is one of my oldest and dearest friends, so naturally I had soo much fun designing this event to match her personality. Sara is a recruiter for a tech company and is a big fan of being outside in nature, hiking, and the outdoors. While we omitted hiking during this weekend, so much of the experience was outside and we were blessed with the most beautiful weather! Plus, Sara wanted lots of chill vibes and girl time - which is exactly what we did!

Below we ask Sara for her inspiration and take on the weekend. Scroll down to skip ahead to the itinerary!

How did you know you wanted your bachelorette party in Seattle?

“A lot of my friends are teachers so I knew I wanted to have my bachelorette party during the summer so that they would all be able to attend! And then I figured, why would we travel somewhere else when (in my perhaps biased opinion) there’s nowhere better to be in July/August than the great PNW!“

When planning your bachelorette party, what was the vibe you were going for? What did you want to achieve?

“We were going for a relaxed weekend that fostered connection and bonding! While I enjoy a low-key weekend and love the outdoors, I also embrace an element of myself that is definitely *~boujee~* and this weekend encompassed it all! From enjoying a delicious, healthy meal that was catered at our AirBnb and a sound bath on the rooftop in the sun to renting a yacht to cruise around South Lake Union and going out to a fancy dinner – it was the perfect balance! We went to a drag show where I was pulled on stage, I was wearing a very extra white feather top, white mini skirt, a veil and bridal sash with…. Birkenstocks to bring the whole outfit together. :) I was definitely called out by the QUEEN that pulled me on stage for my perhaps fashion faux pas but to me *~Feathers & Birkenstocks~* perfectly represented me/my perfect bach weekend!”

How many people were in your party?

“I wanted to keep a lot of the weekend pretty small/intimate to give my best friends from across the west coast a great chance to get to know one another so we have 8 people stay at the Airbnb and be there for the whole weekend but we also invited ~15 girls for the yacht day which was fun to be able to include even more gals I love in the celebrations! (Definitely another plus of having a staycation bachelorette!)”

What was the budget per person for the weekend? (excluding flights)

“My MOH is so great that I don’t even know the answer to this question hehe Shout out to lil Lilia!”

What was your weekend highlight?

“I have two highlights - one the yacht day and two our rooftop dinner. My MOH, Lilia, is incredible at fostering connection and making those around her feel loved. She has everyone go around and share what they love about me/their favorite memory with me/etc and it truly made me feel SO loved and appreciated.”

Editors Note: a circle of favorite moments and things about the bride is a must for the celebration!! Make you do this on your next trip - it’s the sweetest thing!

Where did you stay?

“We stayed at a super cute Airbnb in Eastlake with a stunning view of the Seattle skyline and just a few blocks from the water.”

One thing you’d want to re-live over again?

“The entire weekend!!! But perhaps – popping bottles at a dive bar and making friends with the bartenders, the boujee yacht day, rooftop dinners, drag show brunches, custom games, sound bath, etc!!!”
